Oral Health Week 2024
To echo the World Oral Health Day of ¾ÛÐÇÌåÓý World Dental Federation (¾ÛÐÇÌåÓý) celebrated annually on 20 March, Hong Kong Dental Association (HKDA) has been organizing a series of oral health promotion activities. As a highlight and signature event among the celebration activities, HKDA will organize the Oral Health Week 2024 from 9 May to 14 May 2024.
Continuing the atmosphere of WOHD and propagating ¾ÛÐÇÌåÓý’s “Vision 2030 – Delivering Oral Health for All, this territory-wide campaign aims to encourage and invite all registered dentists in Hong Kong to participate voluntarily by offering one-off free oral examinations, oral health consultations, and X-ray examinations to the public at their respective clinics throughout the entire week. This presents a valuable opportunity to enhance public awareness of primary oral healthcare, in line with the Government’s advocacy of primary healthcare and in response to ¾ÛÐÇÌåÓý’s Vision 2030.
To mark the commencement of Oral Health Week 2024, a Kick-Off Ceremony will be held on 8 May 2024. The Ceremony will be concluded by thematic presentations by distinguished dental colleagues.
HKDA is honoured to have enlisted the support from Asia Pacific Dental Federation/ Asia Pacific Regional Organization and the Chinese Stomatological Association as our Advisory Organizations and that from dental organizations, professional bodies, dental companies, community units, as co-organizing or supporting partners of this event.
