Involving various healthcare providers in oral health promotion can greatly enhance access to care, especially for marginalized and underserved communities. Simple, evidence-based interventions can effectively prevent oral diseases, and this collaborative approach not only expands access but also empowers communities to take control of their oral health.

The Educational Module for Other Healthcare Professionals Project supported by Haleon, aims to develop educational materials for non-dental healthcare professionals that provide essential oral health knowledge and skills. This will empower them to effectively incorporate basic oral healthcare services into their everyday practice.

An additional seven fact sheets are now available on the ¾ÛÐÇÌåÓý website – making a total of 12 fact sheets, including . The latest fact sheets cover important topics such as:

• Oral health of older adults
• Global oral health
• Child oral health
• Periodontal disease
• Understanding dental caries
• Basic oral health examination
• Adult oral health

Four additional fact sheets are set to be released in the coming months. These valuable resources are designed to bridge the gap in oral healthcare and encourage non-dental professionals to embrace a common risk factor approach for improved patient outcomes. 

Endorsed by various health organizations, these fact sheets represent a collaborative effort to enhance oral health.
